1.     Can you share with us what you consider your main goal in life? Has your main goal changed as you’ve grown older?

10.  If one partner states “My main goal is to be a big financial success,” while the other partner says “My biggest hope is to teach my children how to be loving and caring for others.” Might this couple be headed for big trouble with their differing views? Is it worth discussing which sex – male or female – embraces each of these two goals?

11.  How can children be encouraged to set goals?  Is goal-setting important for them?

12.  What role does goal-setting play in the work of a classroom teacher? Why might it be important for a teacher to express to her/his students before each class what the goal is?

13.  Consider your favorite political leader. Are her/his goals clearly known to you? What goal do you most favor?  Should everyone running or holding elective office make his/her goals clearly stated for voters to consider?
